We believe that if a community’s focus is strictly on care, they don’t care enough. At Thrive at Green Island, great care is just a by-product of bigger and better things.
Senior living was never so…lively. Thrive at Green Island has taken a radically different approach to Elder care. For starters, if you’ve spent most of your life fulfilling obligations to family and society, you’re more than just ‘a senior’. You’re a hero. Now is the best time to kick up your heels, when you’ve got no major responsibilities or distractions, like a job, to take up your time. Your time is yours. And at Thrive at Green Island, we’ve created a community that helps you make the most of it.
Here, just off River Road in North Columbus, Elders can build new and meaningful relationships, while they engage in new activities or old favorites that enrich their daily lives. And the property? Think of it as Georgia charm meets modern chic, with soaring ceilings in the restaurants and the lounge, and a fitness center with the most advanced equipment designed just for Elders. Outside, enjoy lovely courtyards and a walking trail. So put aside your perceptions of false teeth and joint rub. This is how senior living was meant to be lived.
Thrive team members (employees) come to work each day to build long lasting friendships with our Elders. Many of our key leaders bring valuable experience to our industry from other fields. Simply put, our leaders believe that if we treat our team well, they will, in turn, love our residents well.

We have two living options under one roof.
Assisted Living is ideal for residents who value their independence, but may need assistance with daily activities. Our community team members are raving fans of encouraging independence with assistance readily accessible at all times of day.
Memory Care is for our Elders who are living with some form of memory loss. Every member of the Thrive at Green Island team is NIDE (National Institute for Dementia Education) certified. That includes everyone from the chefs and housekeepers to the concierge and nurses. The education allows us to interact with our memory care residents as unique individuals rather than objects in need of care. Residents are engaged with the goal of helping them recapture moments of memories and the recognition of loved ones.
