Our Certified MedTechs are responsible for resident medication and assisting residents with all activities that are essential to their daily lives (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, assistance to/from dining, healthcare needs, and activities. Essential Responsibilities
- Verify the identification of a resident to assure appropriate care is being provided.
- Recognize and respond to the needs of residents.
- Document changes in resident conditions as soon as possible.
- Document accidents and incidents when they occur.
- Assist with resident move-ins, transferring, and move-outs.
- Ensure all assigned tasks are handled in accordance with Community policies and procedures as instructed by the leader.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to identify and resolve problems promptly.
- Ability to manage difficult or emotional residents, family members, and team member issues.
- Ability to resolve conflict without blaming.
- Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations.
- Listens carefully and gets clarification.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Certification of Medication Technician.
- At least six months of experience working in an Assisted Living Community, Nursing Home, Memory Care Community, hospital, home health agency, or other healthcare establishment.
