At Thrive, our Certified Nursing Assistants/Caregivers help create an extraordinary experience for our residents each and every day.

They are caring and compassionate individuals who love seniors! Our CNAs/Caregivers make friends and build meaningful relationships with our residents through deep-knowing – they get to know our residents’ history, what motivates them, and what gives them purpose. They are creative and passionate about making a difference in our residents’ lives and helping them live a full and purposeful life!

Our CNAs/Caregivers support our residents in all areas of daily life, providing as much or as little assistance as they need to remain engaged in an active life. General areas of support include activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, assistance to/from dining, healthcare needs, and activities. Our CNAs/Caregivers play a major role in helping our seniors have FUN, such as competitive card games, planting flowers, ice cream socials, daily exercise, and so much more. In addition, they help ensure our seniors have a tidy home by helping clean their suites and do their laundry. Essential Responsibilities

  • Assisting residents with daily ADLs.
  • Helping the residents to maintain good personal hygiene.
  • Assisting in maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Providing routine individualized healthcare needs.
  • Monitoring or reporting changes in health status.
  • Maintaining records of resident care, condition, progress, or problems to report.
  • Discussing observations with leader.
  • Recording vital signs monthly such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, or respiration rate.
  • Helping residents maintain a clean home.
  • Providing support with daily community activities.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to identify and resolve problems promptly.
  • Ability to manage difficult or emotional residents, family members, and team member issues.
  • Ability to resolve conflict without blaming.
  • Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations.
  • Listens carefully and gets clarification.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • Current Nursing Assistant Certification.
  • Previous experience as a CNA is strongly preferred, but not required.

Our Certified MedTechs are responsible for resident medication and assisting residents with all activities that are essential to their daily lives (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, assistance to/from dining, healthcare needs, and activities. Essential Responsibilities

  • Verify the identification of a resident to assure appropriate care is being provided.
  • Recognize and respond to the needs of residents.
  • Document changes in resident conditions as soon as possible.
  • Document accidents and incidents when they occur.
  • Assist with resident move-ins, transferring, and move-outs.
  • Ensure all assigned tasks are handled in accordance with Community policies and procedures as instructed by the leader.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to identify and resolve problems promptly.
  • Ability to manage difficult or emotional residents, family members, and team member issues.
  • Ability to resolve conflict without blaming.
  • Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations.
  • Listens carefully and gets clarification.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Certification of Medication Technician.
  • At least six months of experience working in an Assisted Living Community, Nursing Home, Memory Care Community, hospital, home health agency, or other healthcare establishment.

They are creative and passionate about making a difference in our residents’ lives and helping them live a full and purposeful life!

Our Nurses interact with our residents in all areas of daily life, including providing direct nursing care and support in leading the day-to-day activities performed by the care team. They collaborate and build strong relationships with residents, their family members, and the overall community team to ensure our residents’ health and wellness needs are constantly met. Essential Responsibilities

  • Assists the Health & Wellness Director (HWD) in determining the type of staffing needs in accordance with client care, preparation of the team, and needs prescribed by the physician.
  • Provides services (ADLs and Medication Supervision) in accordance with specific written orders from a physician.
  • Assists the HWD in planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating total care within the Community.
  • Records all services given on appropriate forms or POC device.
  • Reports and documents pertinent information and prepares progress notes.
  • Helps the residents to maintain good personal hygiene.
  • Maintains a safe work area free from hazards of fires, spills, chemicals, and equipment. Reports any problems to the HWD and/or President.
  • Provides routine individualized healthcare needs.
  • Monitors or reports changes in health status.
  • Maintains records of resident care, conditions, progress, or problems to report.
  • Discusses observations with leader.
  • Records vital signs as needed, such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, or respiration rate.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to identify and resolve problems promptly.
  • Ability to manage difficult or emotional residents, family members, and team member issues.

Education and Experience

  • Certified License Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) – Active License Required.
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience working as LPN/LVN in an Assisted Living Community or other long-term care experience.
