Come To Live Here.

We believe that if a community’s focus is strictly on care, they don’t care enough. At Thrive at Brow Wood, great care is just a by-product of bigger and better things.

Come To Live Here.

Right on Lookout Mountain, on the border of Georgia and Tennessee is a community designed by locals who had a vision to bring a world class living environment to our mountain. The result has topped even their own high expectations. Here, older adults learn, mentor, dance, laugh, and make friends. Is it something in the mountain water? No, it’s Thrive’s fresh perspective on senior living.

We believe your loved one’s life has value, which is why we surround them with team members who will fast become friends. They’ll live in a mountain resort, built with timbers and stone. We’re at Brock Drive, on Lookout Mountain. And just next door, Covenant College brings all of the benefits and energy that come with being a nationally ranked institution.

But it gets better. We believe that every older adult deserves the chance to excel, so we offer a full spectrum of care. If needs arise in the years to come, all of our team members are NIDE (National Institute for Dementia Education) certified, which is a mouthful to say, but simply means that our team members are prepared and qualified to interact with your loved one as a unique human being, not a case study. Come visit us. You’ll see that life is just better up here.

Meet the Team.

Thrive team members (employees) come to work each day to build long lasting friendships with our older adults. Many of our key leaders bring valuable experience to our industry from other fields. Simply put, our leaders believe that if we treat our team well, they will, in turn, love our residents well.

What We Offer: Independent Living, Assisted Living & Memory Care

One-size-fits-all is fine for hats and ponchos, but doesn’t cut it when it comes to senior living. That’s why Thrive has a variety of options to suit your specific needs.

Independent Living is for our active residents who are looking to downsize (or right-size, as we like to call it) or find a close-knit community of friends and neighbors. You can “choose your own adventure” and take part in our exhaustive list of daily social events or retreat to the peaceful confines of your private suite.

Assisted Living is for people who value their independence and are competently in charge of their lives, but need some extra assistance with daily activities. Our kick-butt (pardon our French) team members are on call 24/7 to offer as much (or as little) help as you need.

Memory Care is for those who are living with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or other forms of changing cognitive abilities. Every member of the Thrive at Brow Wood team is NIDE (National Institute for Dementia Education) certified, this includes everyone from the chefs and housekeepers to the concierge and nurses. In a nutshell, it means we know what the heck we’re doing. And it means everyone on our team is trained to treat residents like people, not patients.

(Thrive partners with outside healthcare providers to enhance our overall community experience. Though these partners align with our core healthcare practices and philosophies to provide the best level of care for our residents, these partners may not require NIDE certification like our Thrive team members.)
