Founder & Principal

Jeramy is responsible for business development, strategic management, and oversight of the daily operations of both the development and management arms of Thrive Senior Living. In addition to Thrive Senior Living, Jeramy proudly owns multiple senior housing development and holding companies, including Outer Marker Properties, MRA Ventures, and Columbia Real Estate Holdings. In addition, Jeramy is a frequent speaker and panelist at industry conferences and events, recently including engagements in the US, Asia, and Europe. Before entering the Seniors Housing industry, Jeramy served as Vice President of Hatcher Homes Inc. and Belmont Development LLC, developing and building multiple single family residences and lots throughout metro Atlanta, focusing on unique urban infill opportunities. Jeramy has a business management degree from Samford University, is actively involved at the Church of the Apostles, and lives in Smyrna, GA, with his wife Mary Ann and their four daughters.


Serving as President, Les is responsible for offering leadership and guidance to all Thrive activities.

Previously, Les founded Burdenlight Memory Care, a unique small house concept, that maximizes freedom for people with memory loss. Les will continue this work at Thrive, bringing this unique vision to the Thrive portfolio. Prior to founding Burdenlight, he was the Chief Operating Officer for a Texas memory care operator. In addition, Les has led multiple sales-oriented organizations and has excelled at building profitable, people-centered culture in various environments.

Married for 15 years to his bride Emily; together they have four children – Carter, Micah, Tobias and Isabella. Isabella is the newest addition, adopted in 2014. Les has a BBA in Finance from Baylor University.

Chief Operating Officer

Serving as Chief Operating Officer, Sebby is responsible for Thrive’s community operations and focuses on empowering and supporting all team members.

Sebby’s past leadership experience is centered on growing companies by operating, investing, and advising.  Prior to joining Thrive, Sebby served in various regional, divisional, and corporate operating roles in the turnaround and growth of Enlivant, a portfolio company of TPG and one of the nation’s largest senior living owners and operators.  Prior to that, Sebby was an investor at Arcapita, backing great entrepreneurs and innovative companies, and a management consultant at A.T. Kearney, advising numerous Fortune 500 companies on operational and strategic matters.

He received a BBA at the University of Michigan, an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and a MEM from the McCormick School of Engineering at Northwestern.

Sebby lives in Atlanta with his wife Daisy and their two daughters.

Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer, Allen is responsible for planning, implementing, managing and controlling financial-related activities of the company including accounting, finance, forecasting, treasury, business risk management, etc.

Prior to joining Thrive, Allen served as CFO and CCO at Visiting Nurse Health System, Inc., a provider of home health, hospice and long term care services, as Controller for Alexander Proudfoot’s North American and Latin American operations and as a Senior Manager with Morgan Stanley Real Estate.

Allen has over 19 years of finance and accounting experience in a variety of industries covering financial and managerial reporting, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and strategy. He began his career as an auditor with Ernst & Young LLP and also worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Transaction Services group. Allen is a certified public accountant. He received his MBA from Georgia State University and has a BBA with a double major in accounting and economics from Millsaps College. He and his wife, Claire, have two children.

Taylor has served clients in a variety of industries as an accounting and tax advisor. In filling roles inside startup companies and fast-growth businesses as CFO or Controller, he has operated as a part of the management team leveraging his audit, tax, and valuation experience at local and international firms. Taylor’s experience is concentrated in healthcare, real estate, professional service, nonprofit, and software technology companies. Taylor holds a Bachelors degree from the University of Alabama with a Major in Accounting and a Minor in Spanish. Taylor continued his education with a Masters of Professional Accounting from the University of Texas. In addition to his professional life, Taylor enjoys mountain biking, soccer, and outdoors activities. Taylor is the Treasurer and active board member for World Water Relief, a nonprofit performing clean water projects and education in Haiti and the Dominican Republic, as well as a board member of the Chattahoochee Park Conservancy. Taylor lives in Atlanta, GA with his wife Elizabeth and their dog Banks.

Chief Investment Officer

Alan Moise is Chief Investment Officer of Thrive Senior Living, where he is responsible for all corporate growth initiatives and investment management. Alan brings his background in real estate investment, lending, and business leadership to Thrive, which guides his leadership in all aspects of business & organizational development, financial & investment analysis, and strategic management. Alan has been involved in several startups throughout his career, which helps him bring an entrepreneurial spirit to his work. Prior to joining Thrive, Alan was with TriMont Real Estate Advisors, where he facilitated in the asset management of over $2.3 billion in performing and non-performing commercial real estate investments. Previously, Alan was involved in the underwriting of $1.5 billion in CMBS and CDO transactions at JP Morgan Mortgage Capital. Alan holds a CCIM designation, has a finance degree from Auburn University where he graduated with honors, and lives in Smyrna, GA with his wife Libby and two daughters.

VP of Engagement

Before joining the Thrive team, Jon spent time in the commercial real estate industry in asset management and brokerage in Atlanta with Republic Property Company and Armstrong Lambert Associates.  He also served as a student ministry director for one of the largest churches in the country, Peachtree Presbyterian Church.

Jon’s unique background and blend of talents, relational skills and high energy help him lead the team’s business and operational development efforts as Thrive continues to grow.

Jon is a graduate of Wake Forest University and a true native Atlantan.  Jon enjoys traveling, spending time with his friends and family along with being active, he can be found exercising most mornings, primarily at SculptHouse, Flywheel or Blast.  He is also incredibly passionate about mentoring as he had some impactful mentors growing up and still does today.

VP of Wellness & Risk Management

Bebe joined Thrive in 2015, bringing with her the skills for developing operational systems of excellence and a passion for training dynamic clinical teams. She earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Health Administration (1990) and Nursing (1994) from East Tennessee State University and a Master’s Degree in Workforce Education and Leadership (2009) from the University of Georgia.

Bebe gained a strong clinical foundation while working cardiology, orthopedics, and rehabilitation in the acute care setting. She then spent seven years in case management serving complex patients with critical healthcare needs. Bebe is also a passionate educator. She taught at the technical college level and started a Certified Nurse Aide training program, serving as the director for five years.

For the past 10 years, Bebe has served in a variety of leadership positions in skilled nursing facilities and assisted living communities where her focus has been the cultivation of extraordinary care teams and outcomes that exceed regulatory compliance.

Bebe and her husband Bo live in Athens, GA and have been married for 30 years. They have three grown children and are anxiously awaiting grandchildren.

Dir. of HR & Administration

Cheryl joined the Thrive executive team in 2015, and brings over 16 years of experience specializing in both entrepreneurial ventures and established organizations.  She provides guidance and leadership to the executive team in startup, growth and stable organizations. Her broad experience includes benefits, employee relations, compliance, payroll, talent acquisition, succession planning and management. She has experience in various industries including professional services, commercial real estate and healthcare.

Cheryl is a graduate of Brenau University with a B.S. degree. She is a nationally certified professional of Human Resources with the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

Director of Sales

Deborah incorporates a unique blend of skill and experience spanning over 25 years in multi-site, multi-state sales leadership in senior housing and healthcare settings. She has overseen and spearheaded sales solutions for acquisitions and new community start ups across the Senior Living continuum. Deborah brings a purposeful and passionate approach to sales operations, continually searching for initiatives and insights to develop strategic perspectives on growth opportunities. Inspiring, leading and coaching people to fulfill their mission is her strength and compass.

As a lifelong learner, Deborah seeks learning opportunities and has been a member of the Argentum Sales Executive Roundtable and helped to bring spotlights on innovative services to include a “Best of the Best“ award. She is a graduate of the State University of New York at Plattsburgh and holds a Bachelors degree in Education.

Deborah and her husband Matt live in the suburbs of Atlanta and they are proud parents of three beautiful children and anxiously await the arrival of their second grandchild. She is a classically trained pianist and relishes music of any kind. She enjoys the company of her family and on occasion you can find her hitting the tennis ball.

Portfolio Director
Sarah is our Thrive cheerleader and holds the role of Portfolio Director.  She started at Thrive as Ivy Springs Manor’s (ISM) Activities Coordinator but that title didn’t fully describe her role, so she adopted the phrase ‘Director of Excitement’ (DOE) which all Thrive communities now use.  After her DOE role, she worked as Community Relations Director and then as an Executive Director before being asked to join the Thrive Service Center as a Portfolio Director.
Her background is in retail and restaurant management but found that her true passion is working with seniors and helping them discover new experiences and relationships.  She says that the best part about being a Portfolio Director is getting to travel to different communities around the Southeast and sharing ideas to help teams succeed personally and professionally.
At home, she has a cockapoo named Sassafrass and adores her two nephews that she admittedly spoils rotten.
Portfolio Director

George Winters, Portfolio Director of the Mid-Atlantic, joined Thrive in February 2015 with over 15 years experience in Assisted Living communities. During this time, he has been focused on establishing and maintaining a high level of quality care to all residents whom he served by ensuring the highest preforming and qualified team members were part of his communities. George holds a bachelor’s degree from Frostburg State University in Sociology and Psychology. George has been happily married to his wife Beth since 2004 and they have two children, Colin and Andrew. They currently live in Ashburn Virginia.

Portfolio Director

Jacob is a healthcare professional with accelerated leadership experience and demonstrated success in Post-Acute & Acute Care settings. He focuses in care models for Alzheimer’s Disease and related dementias.

Program Manager

Kim Gebert became a proud member of Thrive Senior Living in the summer of 2015 as the Business Office Manager. She quickly acquired the role of Operational Development Coordinator after developing a centrally operational position with Thrive.

Kim began in customer service and restaurant management. This has served her in helping to bring a resort quality experience to Thrive and our residents. She came to Thrive from Smith & Liss LLC, a prominent law firm where she was responsible for the office administration, accounting and bookkeeping at the firm.

With a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies and a concentration in International Studies from Georgia State University, Kim brings an eclectic mix of talents and creativity to Thrive. She currently lives in Atlanta, GA where she remains very active in activities such as traveling, and playing soccer.

Payroll Administrator

Before joining the Thrive Service Center Team, Brittany began her journey with Thrive as the Business Office Manager and Director of First Impressions at our Thrive Assisted Living and Memory Care in Athens, Georgia. With her transition to the service center, Brittany brings a strong knowledge base of all payroll functions and employee interfaces. Brittany provides training and support to our community managers with an added level of encouragement and excitement. Brittany attended University of West Georgia and Metropolitan State University in Colorado where she excelled in Business Management programs. Continuing her professional education in Payroll Modules & Human Resource Management Principles, Brittany serves our community office managers with the tools to succeed.

Brittany is married to her high school sweetheart, Mark, and they have an energetic and loving 5 year old son.


Alexandra Beachum, Controller –Alexandra joined Thrive in July 2015 as Controller. Alexandra has over 13 years of accounting experience and her career has been focused primarily on internal and external financial reporting, assessing and improving control environments, and developing process efficiencies leveraging technology. Prior to joining Thrive, Alexandra served in roles in public accounting, internal audit and most recently as Director of Accounting for Gables Residential. Outside of work, Alexandra is an active member of the Atlanta chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants and serves as a mentor for the Atlanta chapter of INROADS. She also enjoys planning events, crafting and traveling.

Alexandra is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a B.A. in Accounting from Alabama A&M University and a M.S. in Accountancy from the University of Notre Dame. Alexandra lives in Marietta, GA with her husband, Kevin.

Investment Associate

Christopher Wade is an Investment Analyst with Thrive Senior Living, where he brings his background in strategic venture structuring, tax planning, and public accounting to assist with sourcing, analyzing, and closing of investments and project relationships.

Prior to joining Thrive, Christopher worked within Deloitte’s Real Estate Tax group helping REIT’s, private equity funds, and other real estate owners and operators navigate the complex business environment of today’s global economy. Christopher is a native Georgian where he is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a BBA and MAcc from the University of Georgia.  Outside of his work, he serves on the leadership committee of Inherit Georgia, a young members group of The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation, volunteers with Young Life, and holds his private aviation pilot certificate.

Accounting Manager

Burdette joined Thrive in 2013 and he brings 9 years of real estate accounting experience to the team. As accounting manager, he handles all the accounting for the company’s established communities. He also helps maintain consistent accounting processes for all the assets and provides training for the accounting staff and office managers in the field.

Burdette holds a CPA designation in Georgia. He earned his accounting degree from Valdosta State University and received his MBA from the University of West Georgia. Burdette lives in Kennesaw with his wife and four children.

Accounting Supervisor

Elizabeth Smith joined Thrive Senior Living in the Summer of 2015 as a Senior Property Accountant. Elizabeth brings over 16 years of corporate and property accounting experience to the Thrive team. She began her career at John Wieland Homes & Neighborhoods, where she was responsible for the financial reporting, region forecasting, and annual budgeting for the companies’ single-family and townhome communities in North Atlanta.

Prior to joining Thrive, Elizabeth was at Trimont Real Estate Advisors, Inc. where she was the Corporate Accounting Manager. In this role, she was responsible for producing the monthly financials, controlling corporate cash, and managing the annual audit.

Elizabeth holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Presbyterian College, in Clinton, South Carolina. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering, traveling, and spending time outdoors. She lives in the Morningside/Virginia Highland area with her two golden retrievers.

Accounting Clerk

Kesha joined Thrive Senior Living in Fall of 2013.  She has worked in AP over 10 years, working hard in such roles as a Supervisor or Head AP Associate.  She enjoys spending free time with family and friends and you may run into her at the movies, dancing, bowling, or at other fun activities.  As part of the active, growing accounting team, she is known to have an adventurous spirit if the mood hits her she says.  She attended Howard University for a few semesters, but found real-life on-the-job training to be more rewarding.

Staff Accountant

Cassandra graduated from Georgia State University in 2016 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance. She began a career in accounting at Georgia International Travel as an accounting assistant but found a job at Thrive as an intern where she transitioned to full-time Staff Accountant after graduation.

Why Thrive?  “As a former CNA (started working in healthcare at age 17), working as an aid was one of the most fulfilling and emotionally taxing things I’ve done in my life. During this time I learned so much about people and myself. I wouldn’t trade the experiences or the memories for anything in the world.”

She is engaged to be married in August of 2016, has 2 daughters, enjoys yoga and dance workouts and is looking forward to learning Tai Chi.

Senior Property Accountant

Melissa Eades joined Thrive Senior Living in January 2017 as Senior Property Accountant. Melissa has over 12 years of progressive accounting experience in the real estate and parking industry. Prior to joining Thrive, Melissa was at Trimont Real Estate Advisors where she served as a Client Accounting Manager. In this role, she oversaw the full accounting cycle for three client portfolios as well as two foreign entities. In her free time, she enjoys movies, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Regional Regulatory & Risk Management Director

Ghena joined Thrive in February 2017 adding twenty-three years of experience as a RN to the team. Her career includes management of skilled nursing facilities during which time she received her Board Certification as a Geriatric Nurse. After receiving her certification, Ghena worked as an educator in the long term care setting teaching other healthcare professionals about the specialized care required for those residents, including care of residents with Dementia.

When not working, Ghena enjoys spending time with her husband John and their three children.

Senior Property Accountant

Leslie Harper is a Senior Property Accountant with Thrive Senior Living where she brings over 12 years of hospitality accounting and financial reporting experience. Prior to joining Thrive, Leslie worked with The Ritz-Carlton, Reynolds as the Senior Assistant Director of Finance. She was responsible for providing direction and assistance to support a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard assets, improve operations and profitability, and manage business risks. Leslie holds a Master’s degree in Accounting and Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia. She now lives in Atlanta and loves spending time with her son, Harrison.
